There are some recipes which attract you so much that you decide to try it instantly… Same was the case with me when i read the recipe of this rice..It was posted in a food group in Facebook by a multi talented friend of mine.. She is a great cook and knows recipes from all over the country all thanks to her friends she says…
So there came a day when the curry i made for lunch did not last for supper.. So i got the much waited opportunity to try this rice… It was so simple to make, it did not take more than 15 minutes of my time.. The main flavor in this rice is the masala which smells so fresh that you will be drooling even before the rice is made (Haha! Experience speaks!)..
My husband loved it so much he actually praised it at least 5 times while enjoying it (which is very rare!).. Anyhow i was very happy to have got this easy yummy recipe and that is the reason why i am sharing with you.. 1 Cup Cooked White Rice
1 big size Tomato
1 big size Onion
1 Tbsp Oil
Salt to taste
3 cloves of Garlic
1 inch piece of Ginger
3 buds of a Star Anise
1 small piece of Cinnamon stick
1 Tbsp Coriander seeds
3 Tbsp Freshly grated Coconut
1/4 piece of an onion
1 Tbsp Red Chilli powder
1. Grind all the ingredients TO GRIND into a smooth paste..
2. Heat Oil in a pan and add finely chopped onions..Fry till they turn translucent..
3.Add the ground paste and fry well till the raw smell goes away..
4.Add the tomatoes and fry well till they get cooked..Add salt..
5.Add the cooked rice and keep mixing till the masala coats the rice..
Serve hot with curd or any curry of your choice!
