Kanda poha is actually rice flakes (which is flattened rice) seasoned with spices, potato and onion..In my home,it was a weekend breakfast for which i used to wait the whole week… Known as Batat phovu in konkani, it tastes best when made by my mom (Haha!Always for me!)..But as i have told earlier, my husband is the head of Anti Potato Association (he hates it so much!Sob!)..So no potatoes in poha…Therefore i have named it “Batat phovu without batato”(My mom laughs when she hears this!)..
Do try it and i am sure you wont regret learning this new easy healthy tasty breakfast dish or evening snack!!
