Instant Tomato Dosa | Quick Dosa Recipe

                                        One more recipe with tomatoes and this time, it is my favorite Dosas {Yet again!}… Nowadays i am really ashamed to post dosa recipes.. Are you fed up with them?? Hope not.. We never get fed up eating new varieties of dosas for breakfast.. I guess you can call us a “Dosa Couple”.. haha.. Anyhow, i found this quick recipe while hunting for healthy tomato recipes and imagine my happiness when it turned out super delicious..

                                         Btw, have you tried Instant Cucumber Dosas yet ?? This is one dosa i make almost every week as it is really easy to make and tasty.. A must try recipe for sure.. Now that i have got yet another instant dosa recipe and that too with a veggie which is lying abundant in my fridge {All thanks to my neighbor, Florence!}, i can really heave a sigh of relief.. All the tomatoes are going to be made into dosas, for sure.. {Haha.. Din’t i say the same for Tomato Pulao?? Such a Big liar i am! But what to do.. I find new recipes each time.. 😉 }

RECIPE:

Ingredients:
3 medium sized Tomatoes
1 Cup Rice flour/ Rice Powder
1/2 Cup Semolina/ Sooji/ Rava
1/2 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder {or to taste}
A pinch of Hing/ Asafoetida
Salt to taste

Oil while cooking the dosa

Recipe:
1. Roughly chop the tomatoes and remove seeds from them.. Blend them in a mixer to smooth paste.. Keep aside..

2. In a bowl, add rice flour, semolina, red chilli powder, hing and salt..

3. Add tomato puree..

4. Add little water and mix well to form a batter of  “dosa batter consistency” {medium thick batter} free from lumps..

5. Heat a pan and reduce the flame to medium.. Pour a ladle full of batter and spread it using the back of ladle like regular dosas..

6. Cover and cook for few seconds till the surface of the dosa is cooked..

7. Pour around a tsp of oil over the edges of the dosa.. Now flip the dosa and cook for few more seconds..

8. Remove from flame..
Serve hot with a chutney of your choice.. My hubby is crazy for Hing Chutney.. So i made it along with the dosa.. A delicious combo!!
