Instant Bread Pizza

Being a HUGE fan of Pizza does not help while on dieting {At least when trying to! ;)} and when there are home deliveries available, it makes things more difficult….. So i have found a mid way between both – Bread Pizza!!! This instant pizza is such a boon during those pizza cravings and since i make it with whole wheat bread and top only with as much cheese as my dieting allows, it is so much fun…Guilt Free indulgence! 🙂

                             Though i have made Homemade Whole Wheat Pizza from scratch before, that is not helpful during those lazy weekends when you just want to hit the couch as much as you can… So this is a super easy and mind you, an awesome option for instant snacking… Bread Pizza recipes are there in many sites like TD,SK and many blogs but all of them are different from each other as each one has made suiting their taste buds… Mine is also the same.. The best part of this recipe is you can add or conveniently forget any toppings you don’t like.. One of my friends even omitted cheese from the pizza as her kids hate it but she says it came out delicious… So just mix n match and Enjoy the pizza making….

My hubby too loves this pizza a lot and keeps telling me how much it resembles the home delivered ones… I guess he is more happy as this recipe has saved him some Riyals too… 😉 So if you too want to save some bucks and enjoy the wonderful aroma of home baked pizza, do try this recipe.. 6 slices of Brown Bread
1/4 Capsicum
1 medium sized Onion
3 Tbsp Corn kernels
3 Tbsp Olives,pitted
1/2 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup,per slice
1 tsp Pepper Powder
A dash of Oregano
Salt to taste
Shredded Mozzarella cheese to taste {I use Almarai brand here!}

*You can also use mushrooms,baby corns,tomatoes,paneer for toppings but take care not to overcrowd the bread slices..

1. Chop capsicum and onion finely.. Add corn,olives,salt,pepper and oregano… Mix well..

2. Preheat the oven at 180 C for 10 mins..
3. Cover a oven proof tray with aluminium foil..
4. Spread tomato ketchup over the bread slices and arrange them over the tray..
Note: Don’t spread more than 1/2 Tbsp, else the bread turns soggy and the pizza becomes sour..

5. Arrange the toppings evenly over the slices..

6. Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top of each slice..

7. Bake for 8-10 mins at 180 C till the cheese melts..
Note: I have made this bread pizza in microwave and on frying pan too…
Microwave method: Microwave each slice on HIGH for 3 -4 mins till the cheese melts..
Frying Pan method: Place the slice on a hot pan on medium flame… Cover and cook till cheese melts..You can also saute the veggies previously in little oil and use as topping so that the veggies cook slightly…

8. Remove and serve fresh from the oven..
Enjoy as it is or with some chilli flakes and more ketchup!
